Connecting Sonos Beam with Play:1 and Sonos One
Is it possible to connect 1 x Play:1 and 1x Sonos one with Sonos beam to work as surround sound system?

You indeed need 2 the same model speakers, the Play:1 and Sonos One look almost the same, but their internal architecture is different and makes them not able to be bonded in a stereopair or surround setup.
